Join us for an insightful session with Claire Fritz, Task Force Leader at the I3PM Committee for SME and Ivan Gauci, Committee Chair at the I3PM Committee for SME. During the event, Claire will navigate through the features of EU IP support mechanisms, including the IP Helpdesk, while Ivan will provide an overview of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) IP services and available funds.

🎤 Keynote Speaker Claire Fritz

Claire has been working in international projects for more than 10 years and covers classical project management as well as the establishment and implementation of holistic, long-term stakeholder and community management processes – since 2014 with a clear focus on intellectual property rights. As a team member of Eurice, she specialises in the area of EU-funded IP initiatives (European IP Helpdesk, Horizon IP Scan, India IP SME Helpdesk & Latin America IP SME Helpdesk) and in her capacity as Head of IP & Innovation, she leads the overall project coordination and facilitation as well as the healthy growth of the IP project portfolio. In parallel to these functions, she also routinely and happily teaches IP skills, focusing on IP support for SMEs or IP in Business.

🎤 Keynote Speaker Ivan Gauci

Ivan is an intellectual property consultant and a marketing strategist, with a diverse commercial experience spanning both the private and public sector. Currently, Ivan works as a ´Seconded National Expert´ at the EUIPO – the European Union Intellectual Property Office, acting as an Intellectual Property Management advisor and Marketing Specialist within the Customer Department. Ivan’s main areas of expertise are IP strategy, business model designs, strategic marketing, project management and EU funding.

👨‍💼 Host: Bastian Best

As the Vice President of I3PM, Bastian Best is not only our esteemed host but a dynamic professional with a rich background in the field. Starting his career with a degree in computer science, Bastian’s journey led him to the German patent law firm Bardehle Pagenberg, where he honed his expertise in patent law. In May 2021, Bastian founded his own patent law firm, BESTPATENT, focusing on helping companies navigate the complexities of patents in the digital transformation era.
