Committee Chairs
The Startup Committee chairs supervise the Startups Committee’s work to identify topics, problem areas, and tasks to be solved in the committee’s areas, including establishing procedures and standards for effective IP Management by startups, collaborating with industry partners, incubators and accelerators to educate and mentor startups on IP topics, and providing outreach and educational materials outlining best practices for managing IP and creating business driven IP strategies.

Purpose
IP is regularly the most valuable asset of startups. Accordingly, The Startups Committee aims to support the startup ecosystem in respect of IP perspective and thus pursues the goals of supporting the development, construction, implementation and training of startups to implement or improve IP management procedures, build a culture of IP awareness and management, allowing startups to make the most of IP rights.
Activities
The Startups Committee provides outreach and training materials on best practices for managing IP and other IP topics of interest to startups and further establishes connections and collaborations with global incubators and accelerators for providing webinars and other services to startups, including having its committee members provide complementary office hours to startups in need of consultation on IP management and related topics. Members
The members of the Startups Committee come from renowned international IP management bodies, universities, institutions, companies, as well as from legal and patent counseling, auditing and practice, and have many years of expertise in guiding and supporting startups, managing intellectual property, and supporting in the areas of IP process revision, qualification, analytics, evaluation and auditing. Global Network
The Startups Committee of I3PM is continuing to build a global network with selected partners, enabling fast communication between startups and experienced and qualified service providers. It strives to provide connections and collaborations between startups and I3PM member and non-member companies, institutions and people from all areas of intellectual property management: IP experts from teaching, consulting and industry, IP service providers, trademark and patent attorneys, providers of IP software and management system auditors.
